The best trips aren't just about
where you go.

They're about who you go with. The Kindred Route brings together small, carefully chosen groups of men to explore the world's most compelling places — and to travel the way men actually like to: shoulder to shoulder, doing something worth doing, in good company.

Not a tour. Not a retreat. Something better than either — a chance to travel well and fall in with the right men at the same time.

You've built a life. You're curious, accomplished, still genuinely interested in the world. What's harder to come by these days is a good reason to go somewhere real, with men who are easy to be around. We built this for that.

For over 20 years, my work has been built around a single conviction: that connecting people to places — and to each other — changes how you see the world.

I'm Brandon Warner, the founder of The Kindred Route. Before this, I co-founded Traveler's Joy, the leading honeymoon registry in the US, helping hundreds of thousands of couples turn their dream trips into reality.

Today, I run Journey & Wander, a boutique travel advisory practice where I design high-touch, deeply personal travel experiences for individuals and groups.

The Kindred Route is the natural next chapter. Somewhere along the way I noticed how many good men — married or single, kids or no kids — hit a stretch of life where the friendships that used to come easy just… don't anymore. Not for lack of character. Life gets full. Calendars win. This is my answer to that: real trips, real company, no small talk required.

You're not an afterthought here. Traveling on your own is exactly who we built this for.
Room to Wander
Every itinerary leaves space for the unplanned. That's usually where the good stuff — and the good conversations — happen.

How it works

01

Choose your destination

Browse our upcoming trips — each one chosen for its depth, not just its beauty. We go to places worth going slowly.

02

Book on your own

No need to round up friends or talk anyone into it. You book for yourself. We handle everything else — including building the right group of men around you.

03

Travel as a group

Arrive not knowing anyone. Leave with a few men you're genuinely glad you met. Every trip is built around good company as much as the destination.

"We'll take care of the details. You bring the curiosity. The rest tends to take care of itself."
— The Kindred Route

We do fewer things.
Exceptionally well.

We run a limited number of trips each year. We'd rather do that than scale for the sake of it. Every detail — the group, the pacing, the places — is considered.

See somewhere new.
